Highlands Little Theatre is deeply grateful to the Blackman family for their outstanding contribution to the Little Theatre. The organization made this gratitude apparent by bestowing the title of Life Members on the Blackman family by a unanimous vote of the General Membership at its June 2, 2005 meeting.
Tim and Martile Blackman and family have been faithful supporters of Highlands Little Theatre for over a decade. They have been corporate sponsors of HLTs main stage shows since 1990 with an unbroken record of 15 sponsorships in as many years.
In early November 1999, Tim and Martile presented Jim McCollum, HLT's Chairman of the Building Committee, with a check for $25,000 to be used to help build a rehearsal stage which would allow the possibility of more main stage productions and also enhance the children's programs. That rehearsal stage has now become a reality and a vital part of the HLT complex known as the Drs. Thakkar Pavilion.
Two of the Blackmans, Martile and Brooke, are Zenon winners and their achievements can be viewed by activating their names in this article.
Besides Father Tim and Mother Martile, the Blackman "family" includes: Ali, Brittany, Brooke, Molly and Timothy, Jr. Thanks goes out to each and every one of them for their ongoing support of Highlands Little Theatre and the Arts in Highlands County.
