  Jay Zeltzer - Computer Man
By: Roy Riedy

For over three seasons Mr. Jay Zeltzer generously donated his talent, time, and effort to help Highlands Little Theatre make the necessary transition into the .com era by developing a program that enabled the Box Office to print its own computerized tickets and store the sales in its memory. Other technical marvels would follow when the theater lighting and sound became computerized, but Mr. Zeltzer blazed the trail.

He received his first Board Service Zenon at the Ninth Annual Zenon Awards Ceremony in October, 1994, "for outstanding contributions in the development of the Box Office computer program." At the Eleventh Annual Zenon Awards in October, 1996, Mr. Zeltzer received a second Board Service Award "for box office and computer programmer."

His advertizement Business Services Group, Inc. The small business assistant, ran in 16 consecutive playbills from Meet Me In St. Louis, presented in August, 1994, to A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, in August, 1997. Beneath each advertizement the Theatre had added: "Mr. Zeltzer has generously donated his talent to HLT by donating his time and efforts to program our computer system. Special thanks!"

During his association with Highlands Little Theatre, Mr. Zeltzer's name appeared in 16 HLT programs, and in 4 Zenon Awards Ceremony programs. His name was also mentioned in 2 HLT Newsletters and 1 local news article for a total of 23 Citations. Thank you Mr. Zeltzer for helping us get with the latest programs.
