The Janelou Buck Significant Achievement Award by Roy Riedy
This award was first presented in November, 1986, at the end of HLT's 12th Season (1985-1986). That November evening was also the occasion of the First Zenon Awards and "The Significant Achievement Award", as it was known at that time, was considered the premier accolade that the theater could bestow on one of its members. The first recipient was Janelou Buck, who by dint of sheer hours spent in the service of the theatre, far surpassed any other contenders for the honor.
The other outstanding choices for the award before the name was changed to honor Ms. Buck include:
Tena Conyer was the first recipient of the newly styled "The Janelou Buck Significant Achievement Award" in 1992.
