The two big winners of the Zenon evening were the musicals, The King and I and West Side Story, the two shows took 13 of the 21 awards. The King and I, directed by legendary Frank C. Oberhausen, Jr., claimed 9 Zenons, and West Side Story, directed by the notable Tammie Pollard, received 4 awards.

• Best Actress: Beverly Padgett as Anna
• Best Play: Frank C. Oberhausen
• Best Set Design: Frank C. Oberhausen and Holly Elliott
• Best Stage Manager: Janet Waldron
• Best Lighting Design: Frank C. Oberhausen and Mark Elliott
• Best Costume Design: Helen Curcio and Denise Miriani
• Production Technical: Kathy MacNeill for Assistant Director, Choreography, Make Up Design and Sound Tech

• Best Supporting Actress: Melissa Montanez as Anita
• Best Choreography: Jennifer Westergom
• Best Set Art: Steve Van Dam and Holly Elliott
• Best Technical Direction and Sound Design: Peter Pollard

Two other plays, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and On Golden Pond received the remaining three awards for plays
Best Supporting Actor: Peter Pollard as the Governor in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas
Best Producer: Lucia Paul for Best Little Whorehouse in Texas
Best Assistant Director: Melanie Boulay for On Golden Pond
