The Twenty-second Season exhibited a year of adroit acting and stagecraft, dextrous direction and casting, and captivating presentations. Director Frank C. Oberhausen, Jr.'s My Fair Lady danced into first place at the late September Award Ceremonies by winning ten well-deserved Zenons which affirmed the excellence of the time honored musical. Jet Hansen's Broadway hit, Chicago, breezed into second place with five awards. Pete Pollard's apnetic Once Upon A Mattress nabbed two honors, and Patty Young's bittersweet Cemetery Club, despite stiff competition, took one award.
